AYL Starlight LED Lantern Review

This is the AYL Starlight LED Lantern in the OFF mode.

This small but POWERFUL AYL Starlight LED Lantern works great.   My husband and I've been talking about beefing up our camping gear and I was given a chance to review this item and I thought that it would be a great opportunity!  This Lantern is deceptively small - but has amazing lighting. AMAZING.  It has 3 function settings, one is normal bright, one is high beams bright and the third is emergency or the strobe light effect.  We had to use this the other day in the car because my husband came home from work late and told me that when he changed our car stereo out ( he did a DIY) that he forgot to plug the AC controls back in.  Whoops!  Well it was dark by the time we got the kids feed and ready for bed.  But earlier on our way to dinner we were in the car it was fogging up so bad between the teeth chattering and not being able to see through the fog we decided that we could not wait to fix it until the next dayt!  So we used this to brighten up the car.  And by brighten I mean really brighten.  This would light up a dark room.

The lantern is rugged and made out of rubber and plastic.  If you have a tent, and you have a place to hang it the lantern comes with a "hanging" piece. It uses 3 D type batteries but they do not take up a lot of power so you can expect that the batteries would last a good period of time.  I would highly recommend keeping one in the car.  The strobe feature is a really good function and I like having it on this light.  When I go to the mountains with my children next month for a trip I can know that even if the battery on my car I can still warn people I'm on the side of the road.

Somnis Natural Sleep Aid - Review

The Japanese Konjac Sponge - Activated Bamboo Charcoal Natural Facial Cleanser Review

I am so in love with Konjac Sponges!  They leave your face feeling clean and fresh.

If you suffer from Acne, they have a bamboo charcoal style.  You can choose to use this sponge with a cleanser or without.  I suggest cleansing your face with a cleanser and using the sponge without cleanser to exfoliate and remove excess sebum.  Then rinsing your face again.  I also think using it without the cleanser prolongs the life of a sponge.  They generally are good for 3 months.  You could prolong that if you take proper care of it.  Be sure to let it dry thoroughly before you use it again.

How to use the Sponge:  

Directions:

Rinse and soak the dry Konjac Sponge with warm water until fully softened and expanded. A wet sponge should expand approximately one and half larger than the dry one. For first time use, the sponge might take up to 15 minutes until it becomes soft. Cleanse your face with water-soaked sponge, or use the sponge daily with your favorite cleanser to complement and to create a rich lather for an incredibly therapeutic experience. Gently massage your face with the sponge starting from center of face and extend outwards in an upward direction. This produces a lifting effect to shape face for a slimmer silhouette and avoid sagging skin. Alternatively, massage your face with the sponge in circular motion. If you have acne, please avoid harsh rubbing on acne area. After use, rinse the sponge with warm running water and hang the sponge in a well-ventilated area to dry it. Do not expose the sponge to direct sunlight and do not leave the sponge in humid place.
