Emergency Preparedness is so important.  Especially if you live in an area prone to violent storms or natural disaster occurrences happen.  I remember being without electricity for 2 weeks during a hurricane in 2002, and then about 11 days later we had another storm that knocked it out for about 8 days.  It was awful.  The food in the fridge spoiled faster than we could eat it, and we had used our grill to cook.  ( Thank goodness for pots and pans you can use on the stove though ! )  But had we had the good sense to stock pile some emergency freeze dried food from Valley Foods ( good for 25 years!! ) we would have been a lot better off,  No more rotating the cans out and making sure everything is still good. • Toilet paper
• Identification and important papers
• Ready to go outfits with supplies ( in case you need to evacuate

I was given the opportunity to review Glass With a Twist's Personalized Bar Pint Glass, I was so excited I know my husband who is the bigger beer lover around here.  I do enjoy a Delirium Tremens from time to time, I'm more a Moscato or Champagne kinda girl!  I opened the box to find a very nicely packed ( ie no breakage or scratches ) pint glass with my husbands name nicely sandblasted into the pint glass.  What I love about Glass with a Twist's personalization is that the etching is made with sandblasting, it's not some cheap paint that will wash or peel off after a few uses.  He's going to love it when I show it to him on Father's Day!  Not only would a personalized gift like this be great for Father's Day but really any special occasion or just an I'm thinking of YOU kind of gift.  The personalization makes it unique and memorable!   They are also nice thick glasses and have a good weight to them, that isn't flimsy and cheap - they are just perfect.

Glass with a Twist does so much more than just pint glasses.  As I was checking out their website I saw champagne glasses I absolutely fell in love with.  These would make excellent gifts for bridal parties as well!  They are etched with Sandblasting which means you don't have to worry about the product's message faded!  It's basically engraved in there!  And they even do etchings on mason jars if you like to collect those, I live in the south ;) So I know some Mason Jar collectors!

This is the best dog grooming brush I've ever owned. We've had our Labrador 13 years so we've went through a number of brushes. Our son say's he is brushing him ( before we used GrowPetz) but we have tile and the tile has been littered with dog hair until we vacuum which is daily.  When I was given the opportunity to check out this grooming tool I leaped at the chance.

Since Merlin is older and has some Lipomas ( fatty deposits ) on him we were concerned maybe that this brush would bother those areas, but they absolutely don't. He also generally doesn't enjoy a brushing -- we were using a nubby brush we picked up from Petsmart and he seemed eager for the brushing to be over BUT when we used the Growpetz deshedding brush he will stay still and doesn't try to retreat. It seems like he enjoys it.

Because he is labrador and technically has 2 coats the amount of hair removed from him during his first brushing was enough fur to make "puppies" -- as my children called them. The fur just came off with such little effort.

 Also I would absolutely do this outside, the fur will be FLYING. It also has 2 bonus blades so if you want to do around the face or have a smaller dog you could utilize those. This is an awesome brush and I highly recommend it.

EpicBelle Crochet Hooks: 9pcs ergonomic grip crochet hook set

I had a chance to review ( well rather my mom and I did ) as a late Mother's Day bonding experience these really awesome crochet hooks.  They are from a company called EpicBelle and these are the nicest crochet hooks I've ever seen and had the chance to use.  My mom's arthritis in her hand is much more bothersome, yet she hasn't retired her stick hooks.  You remember the ones with nothing to grip on but the metal itself?  Those are just no good for her hands.  So we used these instead.  One thing I'd like to mention is the sizes are carved into the hook.  You know how sometimes sizes often disappear after several uses?  ( Like my measuring cups  grrr.  ) Anyway there's no chance of that happening here because of how they are etched in.  They feel 1000% nicer that any hook I've used and I love how they are bright and colorful, so if you use them often eventually you'll know which color corresponds with which size without even looking.  It's a fun set and a great gifting item for the crocheter in your life.
