This is the best dog grooming brush I've ever owned. We've had our Labrador 13 years so we've went through a number of brushes. Our son say's he is brushing him ( before we used GrowPetz) but we have tile and the tile has been littered with dog hair until we vacuum which is daily.  When I was given the opportunity to check out this grooming tool I leaped at the chance.

Since Merlin is older and has some Lipomas ( fatty deposits ) on him we were concerned maybe that this brush would bother those areas, but they absolutely don't. He also generally doesn't enjoy a brushing -- we were using a nubby brush we picked up from Petsmart and he seemed eager for the brushing to be over BUT when we used the Growpetz deshedding brush he will stay still and doesn't try to retreat. It seems like he enjoys it.

Because he is labrador and technically has 2 coats the amount of hair removed from him during his first brushing was enough fur to make "puppies" -- as my children called them. The fur just came off with such little effort.

 Also I would absolutely do this outside, the fur will be FLYING. It also has 2 bonus blades so if you want to do around the face or have a smaller dog you could utilize those. This is an awesome brush and I highly recommend it.
